Surprise! Surprise! The Snob is broke, as all struggling writers are. I'll keep shelling out the commentary for free, but I'm putting this PayPal "Tip Jar" out for those who want to support my two blogs (The PayPal button is below). Every little bit would help because I gots bills, yo. Serious bills. I'm an unemployed writer. Will report for cash. Will blog for cash. Please do spread the word. The Snob is open for business!
SCAN's No. 1 secret celebrity baby agent checks in to complain -- there are too many babies in the Brangelina household! She's also met the Boy From Malawi, but don't call it love, unless you want to catch a silver binkie up side your noggin. And never, ever doubt in Sallie Sellassie's super spy skills. She's GOT this SCAN. Don't worry about it.
The Snob is on MySpace (again). Pre-Snob I was on MySpace, but ... um ... I don't update that page anymore. I've decided to start over. Give it a second shot! Plus, I decorated it and made it so nice and purrty! Won't you please be my friend?

I really like it! It looks a lot cleaner and organized, and is it just me, or is there more space on the page? Very nice look and feel, Snob.
i love it... it's just similar enough to be familiar and very "clean" (homage to joe biden intended)
Danielle,
I have been a reader for several months. I initially found your site when doing a google search for pictures of TJ Holmes.(too cute).
I love the new look, it is clean and direct, however, nI do miss the header of the old version, it had so much personality and made me smile everytime your website came up.
Keep up the great work, I enjoy your site very much.
I'm pretty excited that I can create discussion groups and (if I upgrade -- which I will) create memberships for people so they can have accounts on the site to leave their comments and talk on the discussion boards. And that means I can have permanent TJ Holmes, what is Michelle wearing, new Obama picture threads along with more topical discussions.
And I've been thinking about a new illustration (or the old illustration) too. I feel like I do need a little doodle or symbol there to really set off the masthead. So that's still underdevelopment. But I did want to go with a more bold, red, white, blue and black design.
@Black Snob
YOu SOOOOOOO read my mind. I was just about to say, "Ummm, you KNOW you need to put one of your doodles up in the corner!!!"
I want to create some sort of universal "Snob" symbol. One that when you see it you will know "I'M READING THE SNOB!" An icon for the site that would also look great on all the merch and would be more unisex. I'll still keep cartoon "me" in some capacity, but I want someone or something TRULY snobby up in that corner.
Looks good, Danielle! The Squarespace style really works well with your content — as Emme and Nicole have said, it makes it look "clean", which is a nice thing when you've got as much content on the page as the New York Times; but it's a subtle effect, and it doesn't get in the way of your swing (or your snark). I too am glad you kept the basic personality of your blog intact.
I really like Squarespace! I'm glad you introduced me to the site, Marshall. Good pick! It was less confusing and easier to use than Wordpress for me (which just intimidated the crap out of me) and I loved the layouts more. They were easier to manipulate, but had cleaner, more professional looks. Plus, since EVERYONE has a Wordpress layout it was nice to have one that didn't look like anyone else's.
Now I'm just concerned about the RSS feed switch and how that will go. I don't what over 1,400 people to get the "WTF? Where did my feed go?" frustration.
Love it!! But definitely agreeing with the comments about the masthead. Needs a lil sum sumpn, some fun - your snob-doodle, italics, somethin...
