Prepare to Die From "Adorableness!"

The urge to smother those two in kisses is so strong that I may lose control of all my faculties!

When ever I see little Sasha and Malia Obama I think of me and my two "sisters of Snob," Baby Snob and Big Sis, and our childhood together. I especially think of how long we had to sit still for our mother to press our hair to make it look like Sasha and Malia's (and our mother only let us wear it down on "special occasions," like piano recitals. I'm going to assume "Daddy's going to be president" counts as a special occassion). The pressing was murder, I tell you! I detest having my hair straightened to this day even though I love how it looks whether natural or straight.

Like the Obama girls, the Snob sisters spent 99 percent rocking braids or twists. And it's amazing Mama Snob still has an arm from welding that hot comb. That said, those coats are ADORABLE! (And no, I don't know who made them!) But everything about them is adorable. Cheeks must be smothered in smooches!

More pictures of the soon-to-be First Daughters (as well as Michelle and Barack and the Bidens) on my Obama Inaugural Flickr page!

I'm just so thrilled to see little girls dressing like little girls, and not miniature versions of Brittney Spears.

I love the little chic outfits! They look so classy, just like Michelle!!

They look lovely! I read recently that Michelle doesn't get perms and I guess her daughters don't either. I love seeing the versatility of our hair...I sympathize with the Snobbistas and the pressing comb.

Michell's hair does seem like a press and curl instead of a perm. It's got bounce to it and it looks so soft. Perms take the bend and bounce out of your hair. As someone who had a perm and now am a natural who presses, I can see the difference.

The age appropriate clothing is very much appreciated. Plus, it makes them look so pretty.

Actually, I am surprised to learn Michelle's hair is not permed. It often has the look of relaxed hair with too much hairspray. I have only seen it appear to have the movement of pressed hair on a few occassions. Relaxed hair can move, just too many women let their stylists over straighten.

Loved the girl's outfits way more than any of Michelle's personally! And I also love that she keeps them age appropriate.

As a mother of 5 daughters (10-25), I appreciate the conscious and successful attempt to keep the girls dressed appropriately and not like little hoochie mamas. It's a rare priviledge to see this among our children, even by educated intelligent parents. Perhaps it Black designers want any of the Obama family to wear their designs they will step up to the plate and stop creating items that many people have no desire to wear or promote.

Hey there Snob,

Yessss... I love those coats!

Well, the little girls ARE in Washington now... a looong way from Chicago. In Washington, even the children of dignitaries have stylists. I am not kidding!

In Washington, D.C., it is not uncommon in some circles to hear someone say, "I love that outfit. Who dresses you?" (which is a casual way of asking who your stylist is)...

I too love seeing the photos of the Obama girls. My sister and I are about two years apart and the Obama girls are three years apart, I think...

Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

They are rather cute. The father in me appreciates their cuteness; and it is kinda hard to look at them and not want to pinch those chubby cheeks.

I have two young daughters and would be THRILLED if they looked as cute as the Obama girls always do. Totally agree with you.
