What? No Text, David Plouffe?

Eh ... He could do worse. Read more on CNN.

that txt msg thing was a dumb idea from the start... now obama's gonna get criticism for not getting the text msg off in time... i didn't even bother signing up for it...

You really are an insomniac aren't you! Well, I love that you're a prolific blogger. It makes coming back that much more fun. As for the 3am text after it was already on his website, I'm a little peeved that he waited so long that it got leaked first. But that's what my friend Maggie would call a "high class problem". I'm satisfied with the pick and all I can say is "sic 'em Joe". Barack needs a good attack dog and I think ol' Joe is up for the challenge.

LOL. It would be funny if they wait to text at like 11am. Those bastards. Technically, we still need confirmation, right?

correction to previous post: it wasn't a dumb idea (do forgive my cynicism), it was just carried out poorly in the end. they kept the lid on this thing so tight, i actually thought they were going to pull it off, but of course someone slipped at the last minute.

i can see the campaign ads now "He can't even send out a text message properly; Is he really ready to be President of the United States?"

??How else would he get cell phone numbers from "excited" supporters who may not have home phones,be at home,or avialable when his boosters call. He can now text/call remind these people to acutally get to the polls. First class execution ,again by his campaign

dkan71: I was up until almost 4 a.m. and woke up at 8:45. I'd like to blame it on the Biden, but I was really just unable to fall asleep so I had to watch part of "Dark City" until I passed out.

Yeah, I find out at like 1 a.m. from CNN, and not the Obama Camp. I won't fault them though, because it is a 24/7 news cycle and Democratic sources with big mouths who just had to spill the beans to CNN.

oh well. I'm just happy it's not Hillary.

Wasn't my 1st , 2nd or 3rd choice. But, he's not HIllpatine or Bayh.

And, there's something to be said for a White man who has been in The Senate for over 30 years and STILL is among its poorest members. I think it says something positive about him.

Going around the net, it seems Biden is very popular with the AARP crowd - a crowd that has been hostile to Obama.
